6. Open-Food Plan
An open-food plan is the opposite of a restrictive diet. It allows for the intake of foods that are not normally part of a balanced diet. However, an individual on an open-food plan should still watch their overall caloric intake to keep from getting too under or over-scheduled.
Some experts believe that a balanced diet can be created by eating a combination of both a low- and a high-fat meal, depending on one’s personal needs and preferences. This can be accomplished by choosing between two different types of open-food plans.
While many people think of different types of diets as restrictive, they are actually necessary for health. A healthy diet should include a wide range of foods from both plant and animal sources. The type of diet one follows does not matter as long as it is healthy. Furthermore, many of the foods that make up a healthy diet can be obtained without cooking. They can be found in different forms of animal and plant food.
These foods can be consumed raw, dehydrated, canned, or made into soups, smoothies, and more. A healthy diet could consist of a balanced meal every day, several small snacks throughout the day, and unlimited amounts of water. A good diet does not require complicated techniques or special dishes.
